Training
Kilpatrick Stockton's formal training takes place at both the firm and team levels throughout the Associate's (and Partner's) career. First-year Associates immerse themselves in the culture of the firm and the practice of law during the entry Associate Retreat, as well as at boot camps focused on developing basic skills specific to their practice areas. Litigation Associates at all levels participate in intensive workshops designed to hone trial and deposition skills, while their transactional counterparts focus on learning to draft agreements and supervise deals. In addition, practice group retreats reinforce these skills and offer training on emerging "hot-button" legal issues. Associates may also take advantage of personal writing and presentation skills coaches who provide one-on-one instruction over the course of a year-long program.
At KS, the development of well rounded attorneys is one of our primary goals. As a result, our training extends to building entrepreneurial skills through seminars focused on client relationships and business development. But our emphasis isn't solely on molding you into a rainmaker. We also offer important training around firm and community leadership skills, how to manage legal personnel, and developing a pro bono practice.
